For that reason we decided to give you an overview of the parks and other outdoor places which are absolutely worth a visit!
If you haven’t visited the Park Güell yet, you surely missed something. This park built by Gaudi is one of the most visited places in Barcelona. It is dominated by colorful sculptures and buildings. Just take a seat on one of the curvy mosaic benches and relax in the sun that the spring season is bringing to Barcelona. And if you would like to have a great view over the city, a walk up to the lookout space will serve you with that. No matter what you decide to do there, you will normally be accompanied by groups of musicians, who love to play just to entertain the visitors coming from all over the world.
You want to have an incredible view over the city? Would you like to take a look at an important monument built up on the highest mountain of Barcelona? And would you like to enjoy the fun of an amusement park at the same time? If so, visiting Tibidabo is must! The highest mountain in Barcelona provides you with an amazing picture of the whole city. Furthermore you can take a look at the Sagrada Corazón, the church which is seated at the top of the mountain. And if you´re up for a little more excitement, just take a ride on the Ferris wheel which is placed next to the church.
300 meters in front of the Palau National d’Art de Catalunya , the Museum of Catalan art, you can find the Font Magíca, the Magic Fountain, right at Plaza Espanya. Already pretty during daytime, it gets a spectacular touristic highlight as the night begins. With a repertoire of more than 30 different water shows, it is definitely worth going there more than once. A spectacular light and water show combined with classical music makes this a great spectacle for everyone.
Did you ever get lost in a real labyrinth? Here you have the chance to experience how it is to find the way out of the confusing pathways. Outside of the usual touristic routes and still a little bit undiscovered, you can find the Parc del Laberint. It is a calm and quiet place, which is normally hard to find in a lively city like Barcelona. It combines a romantic garden, Greek elements and the labyrinth itself, which is situated in the centre of the whole complex. So apart from getting lost in the dizzying ways of the labyrinth you can also enjoy the beautiful alleys all around the park or you can just relax on the grass areas in front of the entrance.
Looking for a green oasis in the heart of the city? Then you should visit the Parc de la ciutadella. It is the perfect option to spend a lazy Sunday on the green grass, to go for a walk or to have a nice picnic. If you are not in the mood to relax the whole day, you can also visit the museums and buildings this park offers, like the Museu de Zoologia, the Museu de Geologia, and the Zoo of Barcelona. And since Barcelona is a city full of artists, it’s almost a certainty that you will enjoy lots of musicians coming together for a weekend jam session.
