Havana is the Caribbean's largest city and it is no wonder that it is much loved by its inhabitants, the Habaneros. It is a vibrant city at the forefront of modern Latino culture, yet steeped in a rich history. The heart of the city has been recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is a wonder to explore.  

Havana is home to many things, Cohiba cigars, many Che Guevara murals, Havana Club Rum and houses many museums and places of culture. It also emanates music of all types: jazz, salsa, rumba, reggaeton and hip-hop. With this depth of musical culture it’s no wonder Havana has such an amazing nightlife.

So whether you want to learn about the ups and downs of Cuba’s past or live amongst Cuba’s future in a city from which amazing new art, music and creativity is emerging, Havana will more than accommodate.

Your Spanish course in Havana

Classes are held at local homes, either in the teacher's home, in the house of the host family or in the a cultural center in the city (this is often the case with 'mini groups'). Students are informed of the exact location upon their arrival.

All of our lessons and accommodations are arranged in VEDADO. This nice and residential neighbourhood is considered the current Havana downtown, the area of business, commerce and nightlife. Vedado contrasts Old Havana with its cosmopolitan and lively style. The district is very diverse, with a number of cultural centres, restaurants, theatres, parks, boulevards and night clubs that guarantee plenty of entertainment. The distance to Old Havana is just 10 minutes by car or
coco-taxi and 30 minutes walking. Some important landmarks in Vedado: Hotel Nacional, José Martí Stadium, the University of Havana and the National Theatre of Cuba.

Lessons take place either in mini groups, with a maximum of 4 students per group or can be taken privately, depending upon your preference and budget.
